Patrick

Director, Software Ops Delivery

If you had to describe your job to a 3rd grader, how would you describe it and why is it important?
Patrick: My daughter just finished third grade where she actually “coded” computer games with a drag-n-drop game builder. I told her my job is basically the same, except we have a lot of meetings where we discuss what we think the game should do and try to make sure that it works right.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Patrick: I like talking with my coworkers trying to figure out how to turn our collective skills into a meaningful product.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Patrick: Hike and fish and just generally be outdoors with my family.

Which animal best represents your personality?
Patrick: Cat. I can be industrious but I also just like to lie in the sun.

Do you have a life theme song? Why or why not? And if so, what is it?
Patrick: At the moment it’s whatever kids-TV-show soundtrack my seven year old decides to play on repeat.

What's your dream car and why?
Patrick: My dream is to not have a car. Sadly I live in the suburbs now where that is nearly impossible, but I hope to make back to a walkable city at some point.

What's your favorite snack at the office?
Patrick: Cheez-its. Grant, our legacy company’s founder, always knew he could keep me happy as long as there were Cheez-its around.

If you could have any one superpower, what would it be?
Patrick: The ability to fly. There are so many good superpowers but I don’t think I could resist the ability to just soar around.

If you could have lunch with any famous person, who would it be?
Patrick: Maybe the Pope. I have a lot of questions.

What is your favorite book and why?
Patrick: I don’t think I could ever pick one favorite.
